Our surroundings are something we are immersed in every day. Who we walk past and what we walk past. Sometimes those things are noticable, sometimes not.
People are quick to make assumptions, judgemets and critical remarks about everything. One of those against graffiti. I’ve been there myself. "Street art" has somehow always been looked upon as “better” in that sense. However, why do we consider one thing art, but not the other? And the fact that we don’t even notice whatever street art or graffiti is tagged around makes me wonder if it's even that "bad".
It was interesting to observe how street art and graffiti were so integrated in our environments yet we either ignore it or haven't even noticed them. Even I, someone who was on the lookout for them, was surprised to find some in areas I pass by every day. The point is, we critisize them, yet at the same time don't really mind them.
